Body movement plays a significant role in coherent wellness. Katie became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She consistently explores movement through the lens of empowering self expression and promotes others to do the same.
The mind-body connection is the cornerstone to self actualization. Katie is certified by the Canadian Massage and Acupressure Therapists Association (CMATA) and enjoys taking lessons on various bodywork techniques (visceral manipulation, cranial sacral therapy, muscle activation techniques, trigger point therapy, etc). In order to connect the mind and body it is imperative to understand how the body functions in relationship to the mind and vice versa. Katie has been trained in the art of meditation, visualization, and re-programming the subconscious mind. Katie completed her Associate Practitioner Certification after 3 years of intensive practice through the College of Core Belief Engineering founded by Elly Roselle in White Rock, BC. These teachings and processes continue to be a monumental part of Katie’s approach to coherent wellness.
All roads begin and end with the breath. Katie’s breathwork journey began in 2006 with Integral Breathwork founder Denis Ouellette. At this very first session she realized the magnitude of healing and self actualization the breath can provide. Katie is a humble student to the teachings of the breath. She is certified as an Integral Breathwork Facilitator and practices all forms of breathing practices.
